Things are meant to change, even for the incoming freshmen at San Luis Obispo High School. Things are crazy at SLOHS already, but with the new hyperactive eighth graders turning into freshmen, it will be even more crazy.

Sophomore Billy Radke spoke with Expressions about life at SLOHS. He will get along well with some of the people here, but he won’t fit in at the school with others, and that’s okay.

Expressions: Some plans work out fine, and some aren’t perfect and they don’t work. Are you prepared to become a sophomore?

Sophomore Bill Radke: I am ready for the responsibility of becoming a sophomore.

Expressions: Some freshmen should get a heads up to let the others know about this school. Should freshmen get a heads up?

Radke: Yeah, do you want me to give them one?

Expressions: It is sort of difficult for people to prepare for things they need to know, like going to a new school and knowing new concepts. What is your plan for high school?

Radke: My advice for high school is to succeed in high school.

Expressions: Some things should be talked about when transferring into a new school. Should freshmen know what’s going to happen?

Radke: Um, yeah.

Expressions: Sometimes things get messy at a new school, so tips can help out people that need them or not. Do you have any tips for new High Schoolers?

Radke: New freshmen should just be themselves, there’s really nothing else I got.
