As the school year draws to a close, it’s time to celebrate the achievements of the San Luis Obispo High School seniors.

One of the ways that Expressions is honoring this year’s graduating class is through the creation of the Senior Issue, which includes the much-anticipated senior map. This map is a visual representation of where seniors are headed next year, whether it be college, a gap year, or the start of a career.

“I’m interested to see where people go on the map because it will be a great way to put into perspective how far an effect our one school will have on the world,” said senior Enrique Ernstrom.

To ensure that the senior map accurately reflects the future plans of the graduating class, students need to report their destination using the Google form available on the Class of 2023 Google classroom.

“The senior map is self-reported. If students don’t tell us where they are going, they are not going to be on the map,” said newspaper advisor Scott Nairne.

 It is crucial that seniors take the initiative to report their plans and participate in this school-wide tradition. While parents may be eager to see their child’s name on the map, Expressions stresses that it’s ultimately up to the seniors to share their future plans with the SLOHS community.

As the school year comes to a close, students at SLOHS celebrate the accomplishments of the senior class of 2023 and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
