  Recently some controversial, odd, and interesting events have taken place.

President Joe Biden, ex president Donald Trump and ex-vice president Mike Pence have all been found to have classified documents in their home with nothing protecting them but a garage or office door.

A six-year-old boy got ahold of his parent’s gun and shot his teacher.

And, English Prince and current Santa Barbara resident Harry leaked the inner workings of the Royal Family in his new book “Spare.” 

  With everything happening San Luis Obispo students have some opinions about the world’s current state. 

   “Well I think that Joe Biden was neglectful in the fact that he didn’t pay attention to documents that needed to be paid attention to,” said senior Taylor Nelson.

The FBI searched Joe Biden’s home showing apparent neglect for important classified documents. Important documents that were just sitting in a garage. In the United States, we have far better ways of securing documents, and the president upset many. 

  Many Californians cannot understand how other states such as Virginia can have such lax gun laws because of California’s strictness.

In Virginia, a 6-year-old student shot his teacher in one shot through the hand and into the chest. The student is rumored to have an acute disability allowing his parents to join him at school. The parents did not join him that day and will live to regret it. Three members of the school reported that the student possessed a gun…the day of the shooting. Administration did not follow up on these reports and the 6 year old shot his teach, in front of his class, at 2 p.m. The parents may also be facing charges for not securing their firearm properly and allowing their child to take hold of it. 

   “I’m a fan. I do feel like he only said good parts about himself,” said SLOHS student parent Amy Jacobs. Prince Harry’s book talks about his unique royal life, explaining the positives and negatives. Showing him in a very sensitive light. This provides a unique perspective of royal life to SLOHS students.

  Staying up to date shows the crazy and trendy things going on all around the world and helps us better understand how the community views the world.
