Every year, San Luis Obispo High School students attend the Central Coast Renaissance Festival. Set in the year 1585, the 35th annual festival occurs this Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21, hosted at Laguna Lake Park. There will be a variety of different activities to participate in, food to eat, and things to buy.
The park is set up like a village, where there are booths to watch magic, falconry shows, juggling, and henna. This event brings in a wide variety of attendees of all ages, who can transport back in time to forget about the present.
“I think that the Renaissance Fair is a wonderful people watching opportunity, because it brings out all sorts of people,” said SLOHS Graduate Kaylee Beardsley.
Sunday will be Pirate Day, a kid-friendly day where young children can hunt for treasure on the Pirate’s Treasure Hunt. There are also knight battles hosted twice on both days at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Overall, the Central Coast Renaissance Festival is a great adventure to go this summer!
