This year, San Luis Obispo High School hosted the Wrestling CIF District Championship. Our team is currently sending six people to State today.
Expressions have gone out to ask the SLOHS wrestlers to reflect on the event.
“I feel like I did alright, but I could have done better because during the beginning when I first started out I fell asleep right before my first match so I just woke up into that match but I didn’t leave the match without a fight,” said junior Haley Sarabia.
When asked to reflect on her match and see what could have gone better she responded with.
“I definitely would have warmed up before my first match, I recommend just imagining, and visualizing myself winning the match,” replied Sarabia.
Expressions asked around the wrestling room to find more wrestlers to reflect on there CIF experience.
“Yeah, I would have tried a lot harder on the last match,” said freshman Matthew Milner.
“But yeah, I enjoyed it,” continued Milner.
“I enjoyed it, I always do. But there are always things that could have gone better, from my guys and girls on the mat to me running it,” said wrestling coach Brandon Drucker.
Maybe next year you should join wrestling too and participate and cheer for your fellow SLOHS students.
