Some of the best electives here at SLOHS are up for grabs. Image courtesy of sophomore Miles Blackwell.
It’s the second day of school, and students at San Luis Obispo High School are already changing their schedules around. But what are the classes they are all vying for?
Expressions decided to find out what the most wanted electives are.
Expressions: What was your favorite elective last year?
Sophomore Cole Bramer: I really liked culinary, because it helped me with my cooking skills. Also, I get to make and eat food that’s really good.
Sophomore Blake Schafer: My favorite elective last year was definitely wood shop.
Sophomore James Maxwell: It was probably art with Mr. Norton, I really liked that class.
Expressions: Are you planning on taking any electives similar to that this coming year?
Bramer: I’m really looking to Culinary II, so I can get better at cooking.
Schafer: Probably Wood II.
Maxwell: Probably not. It was a good class, but I wasn’t very good at it.
Expressions: If you could make a new elective, what would it be?
Bramer: One hundred percent nap time. I already fall asleep in most of my classes, so it wouldn’t be that different.
Shafer: I don’t know, SLOHS already has tons of cool electives. I don’t feel like I would add any more.
Maxwell: Something history related, like music history, that sounds cool.
Have fun this year, Tigers, but don’t get bummed out if you didn’t get the electives you wanted this trimester, there’s always another!
