San Luis Obispo High School juniors took the Smarter Balanced Assessment System (SBAC) tests all week, leaving all other grades with an abnormally late start.
What have they been up to with all their extra time? We took some time to ask some students all the same question: What did you do with your extra time in the mornings?
“During the elaborate time I was given, in the morrow I decided to exercise my body by working out at the gym,” said sophomore Jaden Taylor.
Some people used their extra time to get to work. However, some others were not as productive.
“I sat in the parking lot from 8:30-11:00, on Thursday I also sat in the parking lot until 11:00 because I forgot it was a different start,” said sophomore Izak Kania.
Other students decided to relish at home with this opportunity.
“I slept in and did my extra homework, and went to breakfast,” said freshman Oliver Nemetz.
This week’s SBAC testing gave students a much needed break from school and gave us some time to breathe and de-stress, unfortunately not for juniors.
