Marvel finatics all over the world and at San Luis Obispo High School have been debating who is the best Spider-man actor for years.
While most casual Marvel fans might say actor Tom Holland because he is the newest and most talked about, older fans feel differently. The truth is, all of them are the best at certain aspects of the character.
But actor Toby Maguire is the best Spider-man. Facts.
By that I mean the best at being the superhero. Every advancement he makes in each movie improves his abilities. He thinks and acts with logic which is perfect for a hero. He possesses all the characteristics and determination that Spider-man requires.
“I feel that Toby Maguire plays the hero role as Spider-man the best of the three because it fits his personality and vibe,” said junior Mitch Damron.
After three successful films, Maguire stepped down from the role and actor Andrew Garfield took his place. Garfield is the best at being Peter Parker. His soft loveable personality matches perfectly with his storyline. His struggles and battles as a teenage boy feel authentic and personal.
Another three films later, Garfield steps down and Tom Holland replaces him. Holland embodies both elements of characters fairly well. He’s not the best at either aspect but he has the best balance between the two. He feels like a struggling teenager attempting to find stability between his life as Spider-man and environment as Peter parker.
Despite the SLOHS fans’ disagreements, the three actors all respect each other and even take inspiration. In the latest Spider-man movie, “Spider-man No Way Home” all three actors play their own version of the character. It’s a perfect example of how each Spider-man is different and their portrayal is a part of the history of the beloved character.
