Today is the last day of finals here at San Luis Obispo High School. How do our students feel trimester two went, and what do they look forward to moving into trimester three?
Expressions reached out to a couple SLOHS students to see what they have to say.
Expressions: How do you feel trimester two went for you?
Junior Christian Cuevillas: Pretty bad- well no, it was an uphill battle. It was a lot of hard work and just getting everything together and just completing one assignment after another.
Sophomore Katie Giese: Pretty good. Yeah, good classes with friends. So that’s pretty good.
Sophomore Sydnee Leonardo: Towards the end I started losing motivation and it kind of went downhill.
Expressions: What are you looking forward to the most moving into our third trimester?
Cuevillas: Doing four different electives, and just not having a lot of homework and hopefully getting a job.
Giese: Nothing because my classes are really far away, I have math and then I have theater and then I have English at the portables, and I have to walk home back at the adult school. So I’ve just been upset about that.
Leonardo: I am looking forward to my elective (ceramics) and being in classes with some of my friends.
Expressions: What goals do you have for your new upcoming classes?
Leonardo: I want to get my assignments done on time so I don’t have to be stressed about catching up on work.
Giese: To not do horrible, and I’m really worried about that because I missed a trimester in the middle.
Expressions: What do you think is your highest priority right now for the end of the school year?
Cuevillas: To have at least a decent GPA to get into college.
Giese: “I just want to pass, and I want to try and keep a solid 4.0.
Leonardo: My priority is balancing school work, extracurriculars, and social time so I can get stuff done but still have fun towards the end of the year.
