High school is a great time for students at San Luis Obispo High School to get their first jobs and learn basic life skills. Having a little extra cash is always appealing to teenagers especially, and getting a job early on can bring in a lot of disposable income.
Getting a job can be a scary experience, especially when it’s your first one. Resumes, job interviews, and commitments can be a huge challenge for first-timers.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy hire, applying to CVS on Madonna Road in San Luis Obispo is a great way to quickly become employed.
And for those who are a little more on the introverted side, working at CVS, or retail in general, deals much less with customer interaction compared to jobs in the food industry.
“Retail is a good way to interact with various people from all walks of life. It gives the opportunity to learn or improve life skills, including personal finances, accuracy and accountability with currency, compassion for our elders, and a sense of self-worth. And who doesn’t like a little extra cash?” said CVS operations manager Charles Crosby.
If applicants are under the age of 18, they will spend most of their time stocking rather than cashiering, which is the easiest job to do for 14 dollars an hour. Stocking is self-paced with not an overload of interactions with customers, so it’s very manageable for young teenagers.
Students who are interested in applying to be a retail store associate can visit jobs.cvshealth.com or call (805) 549-0993.
