Expressions: Number of years teaching? / Number of years at SLOHS?
Social Studies Teacher Curt Bartlett: 27 years teaching; 25.5 full-time; 22 years at SLOHS.
Expressions: What is your most memorable moment at SLOHS?
Bartlett: So many. Probably watching students investigate my crime scene during Criminal Justice class. A close second would be coaching mock trial to hand Templeton High it’s first defeat in a trial. Third would be selling tickets at every home football game for 13 years.
Expressions: What message do you want to leave to the students at SLOHS?
Bartlett: My message to students: Never be afraid to fail. Don’t set out to fail, but do not fear it. If you never fail, you have never challenged yourself enough.
Expressions: What are the retirement plans that you have?
Bartlett: Move to Arizona, woodworking, and reading.
