Over the course of the first semester students have been studying the different eras of film history and learning the essential skills to script, shoot and edit their own short films. At the end of each Film History unit they produce a short film in the style of that era, gradually building to longer and more sophisticated films. By the end of Spring 2021, they will produce their own personal short film of 7 to 10 mins based off a script they have developed and written themselves.
“We are currently studying Italian Neo-Realism and should have films from that unit next week. In Semester 1 we covered the following Film Eras with accompanying shorts,” said Digital Film Production teacher Zack Roper.
