The original Broadway production of “Annie” the musical first debuted on April 21 of 1977. Since then, there have been countless renditions showing all around the world. San Luis Obispo High School’s own Drama Club debuted their very own “Annie” yesterday Wednesday in the theatre. Directed by junior Cati Newlon the play stars senior Emma Andersen as Annie and many of the other talented students in the Drama club.
“‘Annie’ is really entertaining and definitely worth the watch. Regardless of your interest in theater, you’ll enjoy watching this show. Come support the theater department!” said Andersen.
Price of entrance is $5 for students and $7 for general admission. There will be a show tonight and Friday at 7 p.m. and two on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. With so many talented performers, it will certainly be worth watching. Be sure not to miss it.
