Figuring out what one wants to do after graduation is a daunting task for all students. Career paths, colleges, and living situations are all on the line. However, after finding a passion for being on stage at a young age, San Luis Obispo High School senior Riley Hutcheson is choosing a more alternative path; he wants to be an actor.
Expressions: What career do you plan on pursuing?
Senior Riley Hutcheson: I really want to pursue something in the entertainment industry. Especially acting, maybe music. But, preferably acting.
Expressions: When did you first start acting?
Hutcheson: I went to a school that had plays every year, so pretty much kindergarten.
Expressions: What do you plan on doing after you graduate?
Hutcheson: I’d like to stay acting, so something involving that, whether it be in Los Angeles, or the community theatre here.
Expressions: Are your parents and friends supportive of that?
Hutcheson: I’m lucky to have parents that fully support me for acting, and pretty much anything [else]. My friends don’t really care, I suppose
Expressions: When can people see you acting next?
Hutcheson: I’m doing a play with the San Luis Obispo Little Theatre called “The Importance of Being Earnest” early next year, and the school musical later down the line.
