You may have seen San Luis Obispo High School’s junior John Polvi running around campus in his trademark flowy American flag shorts, or witnessed his speedy biking around town; many don’t realize just how talented he is.
Polvi has a photographic memory. He has used this magnificent talent to easily sail through even the most advanced classes. Because of this gift he has never had to study for any tests, as he would simply glance at his notes and remember even the most specific facts. He has been described by his friends as a math genius and one of the smartest students on campus. He is also colorblind, however this does not inhibit his flashy style and “really sexy hair,” said Polvi.
Besides cross country and biking, his numerous interests include being an avid “Clash Royale” player, singing (although apparently not very well), and traveling.
Polvi lived in Australia for a year when he was thirteen. His family decided to move to Australia when his dad was offered a better job building a natural gas plant. He lived in the state Queensland and loved his time there. The only problem he experienced with living in Australia was the wildlife. He had a nasty run in with the second most poisonous snake in the world, a common brown, and narrowly avoided being bitten.
He wasn’t too affected by the experience, however – “My passion is just to enjoy life, and I don’t get stressed very easily,” said Polvi. He is truly an amazing and interesting person. The next time you see him around campus give him a high five and follow him on Instagram, @polverizer69.
