San Luis Obispo High School has two new Elkay EZH20 water bottle filling stations installed above the existing fountains located next to the English and Math halls on campus. These updated water fountains provide convenient hydration with a rapid fill of filtered water to quench thirst and minimize plastic bottle waste in the environment.
“I think they are really helpful, a lot better than having to push a button, slant your bottle, and not get it filled up all the way,” said sophomore Marisol Silva.
The EZH20 fill rate is three times faster than a standard drinking fountain; one-handed operation allows for quick fill between activities. They mount fairly easily to existing water fountains and are built with the goal of total convenience for the user.
“I think that they look pretty and are convenient,” said junior Jose Tinoco.
The EZH2O saves consumer money on plastic water bottles and tap water and helps protect the environment from plastic bottle pollution.
“I think it’s pretty cool and helpful. The water is so much better, I can taste the difference,” said junior Aaron Reantazo.
This new sensor detecting, filtered, chilled technology is a great addition to our school and provides a great alternative to the regular manual drinking fountains.
