Summer track & field at San Luis Obispo High School is underway, and there are two meets remaining. These meets are open to all people, whether the athlete has previously participated in the sport or not.
“It’s great that we’re able to compete in track meets over the summer. It helps you improve during the off-season,” said junior Cassius Dowler.
For those not doing anything, this is a great opportunity to go out and have some fun.
“It’s a good opportunity to get better at track and field for the next season,” said senior Luke Lochungvu.
Because there are so many meets that are very difficult to get into, athletes who didn’t have many chances to run can use these meets to improve their previous records past the end of the regular Track and Field season.
“It gets athletes more comfortable in a track and field setting with low stakes,” said junior George Ross.
With only two meets remaining on June 24 and July 1, now is a great time to enter one of these meets. Keep on running, Tigers!
