It’s the end of the second trimester here at San Luis Obispo High School, which means that winter sports are wrapping up, including Wrestling. With the wrestling season coming to an end the team just finished the final part of the season, CIF Masters.
Only five to six SLOHS students got to go and wrestle at CIF Masters last weekend, but Expressions has gone out and asked some of these wrestlers how it went.
“I enjoyed it a lot it was very fun. I would do it again, one hundred percent,” said sophomore Kemberly Mendez.
Expressions asked other SLOHS wrestlers that went to Masters how it went, and for all it was an enjoyable experience. Many of them also did really well in competition, receiving good scores.
“It was good I liked the competition, and I went 4 in 2,” said junior Johny Olmos.
So from the members of the team, CIF Masters was a fun experience, but it doesn’t come with some of the downsides.
“I would have done some of my wrestling style differently, and be more focused, but that is pretty much it,” said Mendez.
But through all the struggles that they faced, they came out with a good memory and a fun experience.
“Yes, I would do it again, I regret nothing, ” said freshman Matthew Milner.
So maybe next year when the wrestling season comes around you should join in or come to a match and watch SLOHS’ amazing wrestling program.
