Here at San Luis Obispo High School, there are tons of amazing elective options. These classes give students a chance to get hands learning with skills and subjects that immediately translate into that area of work and can kickstart a career in that field of expertise, one class in particular has completely changed this student life and has inspired and evoked a new passion stemming from SLOHS Arts, Media and Entertainment pathways.
Expressions decided to interview Greyson Bramble about his experiences with the Arts, Media, and Entertainment pathway, since joining this class Greyson has taken advantage of all the classes have to offer and has made an impact in his community and on campus through his love of videography and entrepreneurship. In this article, expressions wanted to take time to put the spotlight on Mr. Bramble and bring light to his amazing work.
Expressions: What is your brand?
SLOHS Videographer Greyson Bramble: Guerilla Market is a portfolio for all of the art I want to create and it’s a representation of how I feel and I just throw it out into the world with a gorilla market logo on it.
Expressions: What inspired you to take action and start your brand and explore the industry on videography?
Bramble: My dad is an artist, so I’ve always been interested in art and creating things. I wanted to create something that would allow me to just throw my creative thoughts out into the world and so I made Gorilla Market Co.. I started by taking some pictures, posting them on Instagram, making a couple videos, making a couple shirts and really just after that it expanded.
Expressions: What is the current status of your content creation?
Bramble: Well, right now I just do stuff for myself and I post on my Instagram even if it’s my videos I make about the SLOHS basketball team. It’s really all just for fun. I’ve made no money from anything that I’ve filmed.
Expressions: Where do you see yourself in the near future?
Bramble: I just wanna become the guy that people think of when they want pictures taken or want a video made. I want him to say, well, when can Greyson come out here and yeah.
Expressions: Do you have any future projects or plans that you’re working on and would be willing to share with the world? And how far do you want to take this hobby?
Bramble: Right now I’m working on a film with a couple other dudes who are local and they do the same sort of stuff. They film sports videography and we’re all getting together and we’re gonna make a 40 minute long movie. We’re all putting a lot of money into its fifteen thousand dollar budget, but yeah I’d like to end up making documentaries someday and being on the big screens like Spielberg or some.
Expressions: Any last words?
Bramble: You can find my brand on instagram @guerillamarketco. I currently am selling T-shirts but I’ve got some amazing new pieces coming soon, and if you want a filmer, you know who to call.
Greyson Bramble, remember the name. Bramble is an amazing role model and shows students the endless possibilities through SLOHS elective programs.
