Fashion is progressing and advancing at San Luis Obispo High School. This results in students changing their outfits daily or even contemplating more frequently about what to wear to school.
Fashion is a popular trend, including the way that students choose to dress whether they find the clothes from social media interesting or clothes they find from shops.
Many people at SLOHS are looking at new clothing brands or what they want their style to be.
“Fashion at school is not pretty different from a year ago. It’s definitely changing, and we are returning to older types of clothing like jorts,” said sophomore Kai Pong.
With new trends and old fashions coming back in style, people are searching the internet for new ways to advance their fashion.
“Some styles have changed and have become forgotten. However, others have aged well. I feel like some fashion trends are coming back into style. I believe advertisements play a big role in fashion these days as well, like TikTok trends and social media ads,” said junior Ema Jorgenson.
Styles are coming back from before and are better than ever. Students are to make themselves look similar to the new social media trends.
The top ten trends that people are wearing this year are polo shirts, wide-leg formal shorts, the off-white Bluestar Alliance,v-neck shirts, athletic sophistication, patent leather loafers, flat-heeled Mary Janes, gray denim, lustrous fabrics, and leopard print.
Not only is clothing advancing more, but shoes are also very talked about at SLOHS.

Lots of students are asking parents to buy them these types of shoes for this school year. Since shoes are evolving people are searching the internet for shoes that influencers wear or celebrities wear to look similar to them.
Even the freshmen are showing up.
“I’ve been trying to get freshman Nishan Patel to show me what my next shoes are going to be. That kid has so many solid pairs of Nikes. Nishan, show me what’s up!” said freshman English teacher Scott Nairne.
Unique clothing brands and shoe brands are becoming more modern from before so make sure to find trends and look for clothing websites to change your style.
