Autumn has just begun, and San Luis Obispo High School students are beginning to watch their comfort films after school. “Gilmore Girls” is an early 2000s series, perfect for the seasonal feelings. This seven season TV show is hard not to love, because it’s the all-time best film for the fall vibes.
This film has so many small details that make up the autumn feeling. It is located in a festive, lively town that catches the attention of many SLOHS students.
“It’s everyone’s favorite fall show and as soon as it hits October 1 and you light a pumpkin candle that’s the show you wanna put on,” said sophomore Rio Peitri.
“Gilmore Girls” is a fan favorite for many reasons. The show also has an amazing plot, with mom and daughter bonding, dramas, break-ups, friendships and a lot more.
This series is intriguing, and the audience seems to love the characters. “Gilmore Girls” can be comforting because of how relatable it is. It captures the everyday life in a show, but is also quite entertaining.
“I think that the characters in ‘Gilmore Girls’ are just relatable to the point where you can understand where they are coming from, but that their characters are dramatized to make it entertaining for viewers,” said sophomore Ava Connolly.
“Gilmore Girls” displays a similar lifestyle that many people at SLOHS acquire, too. This factor helps draw more viewers into the TV show.
Some people think otherwise, although this show is very entertaining, it is a seven season film that can often get boring, or repetitive to many.
“The plot line is not fast-paced enough nor interesting and is always the same situation with varying characters being switched in and out. Now I understand that is how most shows like this are filmed however, when the characters don’t already bring personality and depth to the show. It gets boring really fast,” said Peitri.
Despite some peoples opinions on the amount of seasons, The show continues to bring entertainment and comfort to many.
After a long school day, “Gilmore Girls” is an entertaining and comforting film for students to enjoy and binge watch.
