For San Luis Obispo High School students who are interested in joining a club, Club Rush is an event to mark on your calendar. Club Rush is happening on Wednesday, September 5, in the upper quad during lunch. Every club will have a booth with members to promote it and sign up sheets for new members.
This event allows clubs to present themselves to get the attention of those who are thinking of joining a club.
“It is a way for students to get involved,” said ASB advisor Jim Johnson. Not only will school clubs and groups be attending, but a few non-school groups will be attending, such as Black and Gold Booster and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
At least 30 to 35 clubs participated last year. Some notable clubs that will be attending this year are Newspaper, Yearbook, and the Robotics Club just to name a few.
