Many students enjoy refreshing snacks in hot the weather of California.
“I like to eat a lot of watermelon, blueberries, peaches, or almost any fruit,” said senior Greta Carlson. Summer has made people to try to eat healthier.
“During the summer, I’m out and active, inspiring me to eat better, which makes me feel good about myself,” said Carlson.
Most people indulge in cold treats and try not to stuff themselves with anything heavy. For some, though, summer gives a possibility to eat whatever you like the most.
“I’m eating a lot of peanut butter sandwiches this summer,” said senior Andrew Maas. Some unhealthier sweets, like ice cream, are also consumed in abundance during the summer season. They might be difficult to resist.
“Definitely tacos. And watermelon. And cantaloupe. And all the other goodies,” said senior Elena Kraemer. She also believes that the morning cross country practices, during the summer, make her fuel up with nutritious food. She finds it beneficial to staying fit and good-looking.
Also, grilled food is always a big trend, with delicious, simple and healthy meals.
Summer can impact food trends a lot. From grilled chicken to berries, summer offers a variety of delicious dishes. Summer is the time for good food, so enjoy it.
