This coming Saturday, San Luis Obispo High School is hosting its annual SLOchella school dance — a spinoff from the recent music festival Coachella. Many students find this dance to be one of the best school dances we have.
People have the opportunity to dress up in fun festival clothes. Many students find the fact that it is outside very exciting. Junior Natalie Shaouat enjoys “the live performances and outdoor music” and mentions the possibility to play water pong during last year’s dance. Sophomore Kavi Freyaldenhoven also confirms the importance of water pong.
Our school ASB puts a lot of effort into making this dance unique, and it seems to be working. A relaxed vibe with good music leads students to enjoying this special dance to its fullest.
“This year, we’ll be having a student DJ and food trucks, so bring extra money,” said ASB Commissioner of Activities Minori Jaggia.
The dance will be 7-11 p.m. Tickets are $12 with ASB and $15 without, which can be purchased today and tomorrow from the ASB office. You can also buy your ticket at the door with $20. Whether you enjoy the rest of our school dances or not, everyone should come join the fun at SLOchella!
