As second trimester ends at San Luis Obispo High School, a new and exciting sport season begins for third trimester. Many students and teachers are excited to watch and cheer on the SLOHS spring athletes. One of the sports offered in the spring is boys volleyball.
“We should have a good team this year. I’m excited, a lot of the guys are working hard,” said volleyball coach Braidy Halverson.
Like most sports offered at SLOHS, volleyball practices, games and tournaments can take up a lot of free time.
“I love volleyball because of the fast paced action, there’s always something happening,” said junior Andrew Maas.
Their passion shows in how they play. Most of the players agree that this year is going to be an amazing one for the volleyball team.
“Yeah, it’s going to be a good season. We had nine senior graduates last year, so this year’s team will be a lot of young guns,” said junior Sawyer McSorley.
With all the excitement amongst the players, the volleyball games are sure to have some action. Their first game is on February 28, so let’s go cheer on our SLOHS boys volleyball.
