Because public schools are financed by the government, they don’t get much extra cash; extra money provided by sponsored sports teams would make our lives at San Luis Obispo High School better.
“It would be cool, especially if we get the right sponsors and everyone would probably like the new design,” said junior Nate Higgins.
An easy way to get some extra cash could be to have some sponsors that pay for some of our needs. The school sports teams could have some sponsors on their jerseys that would help pay for some better equipment. With this extra funding, the school could finance new activities and improve infrastructures such as the classes that were recently set on fire.
“I think it would be pretty cool, especially if we get the right sponsors. Also, it could help local businesses promote themselves here in SLO,” said junior Cole Bumen.
Our courts and fields could also be renovated. New seats and lights could be put on the baseball field. Our cafeteria could be expanded and our labs could be improved with better technology.
Moreover, a good design on sports uniforms would make them better looking. It would not just help SLOHS with missing funds, but it would give a good image to our school and maybe it would be an example for other schools to adopt this initiative. It would be a good idea for companies in SLO to join this opportunity and promote their brand in the county.
