This year’s freshman class has their new student orientation on the Thursday before the first day of school, from 9 a.m. until noon. Government and United States History teacher Marci Bedall is in charge, and Link Crew is the program hosting the orientation. The school will choose 75 juniors and seniors to be the leaders and make them responsible for putting on this welcoming event.
“I am really excited to spend the day with the new freshman and get to know them.” said senior Kyra Lauritzen. There will be a rally, games, and a tour of the San Luis Obispo High School campus. The freshman will be lead around for three hours by the student leaders, giving them a good opportunity to not only make friends with the kids from their class, but also with the teenagers that already attend San Luis Obispo High School.
