The San Luis Obispo High School Theatre will be holding auditions for the musical comedy “Guys and Dolls,” a play about a couple of big city gamblers and showgirls in the 1950’s. Auditions will be held after school in the theatre on January 27-29, and will be casted by SLOHS Theatre Director Kate Stephens.
“I encourage anyone and everyone to come audition for the play. There is a large, diverse cast, so we will be needing people of all kinds,” said Stephens. Although it is a musical, don’t let that hold you back – there are many roles that do little to no singing. “Getting involved in theatre is a great way to make friends and have fun. Seeing the production come together at the end gives everyone a feeling of satisfaction as you feel like you’re a part of something great,” said sophomore Dasha Novotny, who is heavily involved in Drama club.
“After last year’s turnout at the musical ‘Hairspray’, I have great expectations for this year and am excited to see what the students have to bring.” said Stephens.
Take this opportunity to showcase your talents and get involved in theatre; it’s truly life changing!
