Runner up: Dean Nick Frost Runner up: Senior Joe Bravo
Thanks to all of the participants. Please feel free to go back to looking normal again.
Facial hair has woven its way into our culture, and great figures from John Lennon to Poseidon all rocked carefully groomed beards and mustaches. Now, growing facial hair has a more significant meaning besides keeping warm in the winter. The Movember movement raises men’s health awareness through fundraising and mustache growing.
The Movember organization was formed in Melbourne, Australia and now has official campaign programs in New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa, and Ireland. Their goal is to shed more light on the often under-represented issue of men’s health.
San Luis Obispo High School is hosting their own no-shave November contest this year, and all genders of staff and students were invited to participate. Expressions chronicled the facial hair growing ability of 16 of SLOHS’s finest.
