Today marks the start of “Homebound Week”: a virtual spirit week that allows students to show their school spirit through activities and dress up days that can all be done in the safety of home.
“Myself along with the other activities commissioner, Grace Byde, have spent a lot of time planning a homecoming week that can be adaptable to everyone’s circumstances during COVID-19. Homebound week is all about switching up your routine, showing school spirit, and participating in activities that bring together our student community farther than what a zoom class can do. Seeing what other people have been doing in their homes can make it easier to understand that everyone is in the same boat. We all would love to have a normal spirit week, but this is our reality and we’re working with what is the safest and the most fun for everyone,” said senior Olivia Cisneros.
Participation will be counted through assignments in each grades’ Spirit Classroom in Google Classroom.
Starting on Monday with Pajama Day, Movie Mania Day will be on Tuesday, Furry Friends day on Wednesday, Thursday Tunes Day, and Extreme Black and Gold Day on Friday.
Finally, all activities will count for spirit points in the big class of the year competition. We hope to see lots of school spirit next week! Go tigers!
