San Luis Obispo High School has a lot of aspiring student in all types of sports. Golf is typically known as the “bottom of the barrel” of sports. As many people agree with this statement, just as many people disagree and dedicate their lives to playing this sport. Expressions sat down with junior Dylan Good to talk about his small but very active golfing career.
Expressions: Where did you first get interested in playing golf?
Junior Dylan Good: It was three years ago when my dad got sick and wasn’t able to go play golf with his uncle and brothers so they invited me instead and I had a great time and knew that that was something I’d want to pursue.
Expressions: About how often do you golf?
Good: I try to go out once a month but I’m going to start practicing in the coming months.
Expressions: How experience do you feel playing?
Good: I could be better although I feel like I’ve spent a lot of time playing but there’s always room for improvement and I wouldn’t call myself a pro for a long time.
Expressions: Is this a possible career you’d want to pursue in the future?
Good: I don’t believe this is a career path for me however I do plan on continuing with it and hopefully improving in the future.
Expressions: Have you ever considered playing for a team such as for the school?
Good: I have. I’m trying out this year so hopefully, that goes well.
Expressions: Are you confident in making the team this year?
Good: Probably not, I’m just looking to have a good time.
