The most exciting week of the San Luis Obispo High School year is Homecoming week. Throughout the first week of October there is series of activities that you can be a part of all leading up to the Homecoming parade and game on Friday October 6 and the dance on Saturday. Dressing up during Homecoming week is a very important thing because it shows how spirited you are not just for Homecoming but for any school event there is. There are students that go big when dressing up for homecoming and participating in school rallies and events. Expressions interviewed Principal Leslie O’Connor and asked him about the most spirited students or staff members.
Expressions: Have you ever participated in Homecoming week?
Principal Leslie O’Connor: Yeah, all the time. I think it would be bad if I didn’t.
Expressions: Who was the most spirited staff member last year?
O’Connor: I think it was Mr. Johnson or Mrs. Bates last year.
Expressions: What is your favorite thing about homecoming week?
O’Connor: Seeing all the alumni and students at the homecoming dance, and downtown supporting the parade.
Expressions: Will you be dressing up this week?
O’Connor: Yeah, I just need to catch my breath.
