San Luis Obispo High School has lots of teachers who have been here for quite some time. This means that they have probably seen some weird things around school throughout the years.
With many years of experience, comes many years with weird and funny stories. Anyone who has had culinary class knows that culinary chef Nathan Jaggers has plenty of fun stories and cool memories. Jaggers opened up to Expressions to share the weirdest thing he has seen a student do at SLOHS.
“A student once tried to sneak/steal a large 32 ounce bottle of chocolate sauce out of our kitchen in their pants–it was pretty obvious,” said Jaggers.
When chef puts down the pots and pans he walks around campus and happens to see other teachers teaching their classes and has seen the weird things that they do.
“I have witnessed our teachers spending many, many hours beyond the classroom to provide phenomenal learning experiences that just would not happen unless the teachers poured their love and passion into helping their students–totally weird right!?” said Jaggers.
The economics teacher Gregory Ross has been at SLOHS for ten years now. This means Ross has seen a lot of crazy things happen.
“The most interesting things I’ve seen over the years are always the senior pranks which can be pretty creative,” said Ross.
Being here for ten years, Ross has seen teachers come and go and also dress up.
“We had a teacher once who did a full makeup tiger costume and would wear it to class on like, regular days,” said Ross.
Chef Jaggers, Ross, and many other teachers have weird stories of both students and teachers.
More teachers should tell their classes funny stories because it really creates a bond between the students and teacher and creates a happier, more personal environment.
