With the end of the San Luis Obispo High School football season approaching, the annual girl’s powderpuff football game is scheduled for this Friday, October 30. The freshmen vs. sophomores is at 5:30 PM, with the juniors and seniors starting at 7:oo PM. Powderpuff is a flag football game that gives girls a chance to let their inner football player show.
Admission this year is five dollars to watch the game.Traditionally, the proceeds made at the games go back into SLOHS, but this year it is a lot different. Recently our well known cafeteria worker Greta Schultz had two brain aneurysms that have led to thousands of dollars in medical bills, so for this year, one hundred percent of the proceeds made at the powderpuff game will go towards Schultz’s medical bills. SLOHS associated student body has now re-named the powderpuff game to the Greta Bowl in honor of Schultz.
In the past years the seniors have been known to win, but who knows what will happen this year. “We would love to see an overwhelming amount of people supporting our lady tigers and Schultz at this year’s powderpuff game!” said senior Expressions sports editor Josh Dorman.
