San Luis Obispo High School prom will be on May 13, at 8 p.m. at the Fremont Theater.
Junior class officers Zev Slade, Sam Allen, and Dawson Sennes, as well as ASB adviser Craig Stewart, have planned an awesome night for upperclassmen.
Tickets are forty dollars for students and thirty-five for students with ASB stickers. The dance will go from 8:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
“ I just think the whole concept of prom is really interesting. You know, having the two most senior classes come together and have a really big party essentially. It’s just cool to me,” said senior Karsyn Diesta.
Prom is the big dance of high school, and the theme this year is “Viva Las Vegas!”
“ [The theme] was mostly to do with the location of the Fremont, it kinda matched with the vibes of old Las Vegas and Elvis Presley. We thought of “Viva Las Vegas” because of his song and the location just kinda matched the energy,” said junior Samuel Allen.
Students planning on attending should be ready for a night of fun music.
“For winter formal, students got to put in songs and they made a really long playlist with really good songs. So we’re using that same playlist and putting newer and better songs,” said junior Zev Slade.
There’s a stigma around having to have a date to go to a school dance, especially prom. This could cause people to not go, but even if students don’t get asked or don’t have a date they can still go with friends and have a great time!
Go and live it up at the Fremont with your friends and the classes of 23’ and 24’.
