The San Luis Obispo High School ASB is having a blood drive on Wednesday, April 26.
Signups are available as a QR code at the music station in the morning or at lunch, and it should be noted that students must be 16 or older to sign up.
“I’d say the most important reason (to participate) is you can save three lives, which I find very cool,” said junior ASB member Cyrus Isaacs.
By participating in the blood drive, you can earn up to 5 volunteer hours, and get free snacks and a T-Shirt, as well as save three lives. All required paperwork must be submitted by April 24.
Teachers can donate blood as well.
“I’m the rare O negative blood type, which makes me a universal donor. If you are bleeding out, you might end up with my blood! Think about that the next time you decide to act reckless and calm down,” said English teacher Scott Nairne.
This is the great equalizing event for the rich and the poor at SLOHS. You can all save lives with this simple event.
