Gamers everywhere should prepare for the release of plenty of new video games. Students at San Luis Obispo High School should empty their computer storage to make way for all the new titles coming this year.
Some of the most anticipated games would be “Resident Evil Four”, “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor”, “Dead Island Two”, “Diablo IV”, “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”, and a remake of “The Last of Us Part One”. All of these games are part of already existing and great franchises.
A variety of difficulties, genres, and multiplayer abilities allows most people to find a game that truly suits them. A majority of the new games consist of remakes and sequels, which entertains returning fans and drives new ones to purchase and play the originals.
“I personally am really excited for the new ‘Legend Of Zelda’ coming out this year. I love open world role playing story games and exploring how I want to, as well as story games that have a narrative, like ‘Resident Evil Four’, though I do hate being scared” said junior Indiana Coatze.
As technology and graphics increase, players’ enjoyment of games also rises. Newer computers, consoles, and higher quality screens create more intense and engaging worlds.
Not every ship will sail though. There will be plenty of games that won’t make the cut. The amount of games coming out are nice yet can be a hindrance to the smaller games being published and announced.
“A lot of indie games will definitely flop this year, because they can’t keep up with mainstream games that will take the spotlight,” said Coatze.
So many games will be announced this year that it would be impossible to talk about them all, but be ready for the games that spark an interest. With the choices it can’t be too hard to find.
